ACT Systems is a company based in Jimbocho, Tokyo which provides English lessons to major corporations such a Hitachi, Sony and Honda.
I was asked to develop a website which would replace their current static one and provide a wealth of dynamic functionality to its clients, such as constantly updated online lessons and tests.
The bespoke CMS that I developed for this projects allows ACT staff members to, amongst others, carry out the following tasks:
Modify all aspects of the front page and its content.
Add new pages to the site, at all levels of the site's page hierarchy.
Add new clients, classes and individual learners.
Create 'class codes' to be given out to students in class, which will automatically put them into the correct client, class and forum when registering.
Create 'E-learning' content for the site's users and control their access level. I made templates so content items can have a consistent aesthetic throughout the site and can be generated quickly.
Since creating the new website, ACT staff members have created a wealth of E-learning, which in turn has lead to a great amount of activity on the site and much improved search rankings on all major search engines.
